Ldw?

I was expecting to have lane departure warning on the Summit, but can't seem to find it in the settings. The manual lists it as "if equipped", but it is apparently not available on the summit crd. Can anyone else verify?

I too expected it but my build sheet did not indicate anything regarding LDW. Maybe yet another "late availability"...

Re: Ldw?

I have LDW on my Outback and I expect it on my JGC Overland but if it isn't there that is OK. I would have actually been surprised if it came with LDW as the sytem in the Outback is EO based not RF based. I can't see how an RF based system would know when you were left or right of your lane.
I think the only way they can do this is with a very precise GPS or vision not radar system.

Many other systems out there anyone else have experience with other manufacrurers?

Though I did not disassemble the rearview mirror. I think our system has both RF and EO. The Jeep Driver Assist system is a Bosch system. It has the front LRR dome and the rear MRR's behind the rear quarter panels, and AFAIK, a stereo camera in the rearview mirror base.

I have not found the LDW on my 2014 gc Summit yet, as you said, the manual says "if equipped", i assume the summit had it all, what am i not understanding? Diid you find a clear answer to your question on having no LDw?

Much thanks

LDW is not available in the GJC at this time. I expect this to be an added feature in the 2015. The 2015 will have minimal changes, so they need to save a few goodies for the new model year.

Re: Ldw?

I think they will need to tweak the EO cameras (I didn't know until recently we had both) to make this viable. I am guessing they have been doing that for years to get it on the road. It is a nice feature to have and I would have liked it on the JGC but certainly not a show stopper...
