Putting 18" Mopar wheels on my '12 Stone White Overland

I just pulled the trigger on a set of 18" Mopars to replace my 20" Overlands :D

Now trying to decide on tire options...looking at Nitto Terra Grapplers, Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2, Goodyear Duratrac in 275/65/18.

What do you guys do for the TPMS sensors? Pull the stock sensors or just order new ones? I plan to sell my Overland wheels/tires.

Got em installed yesterday. Went with the GY Duratrac in 275/65/18. The shop swapped over the TPMS sensors during installation too.

Looks good. Nice preview of what my stone white will look like with similar wheels showing up today!

How much does a set run? Have a stone white also and I'm liking the color combo.

Thanks guys. I'm loving these. They completely change the look and feel of the Jeep.

Wheels were $862 shipped.
Tires were $1227 installed with TPMS swap, balance, etc.

Total $2089

I do have a $60 Goodyear rebate that I need to submit and I'm selling my stock wheels.

Looks awesome. Thanks for the info. Those mopar wheels are the ones i just ordered for my Bright White 2014 GC. I love the duratracs too, had them on my Rubicon.

Have you experienced any ill effects from the larger tires? I was a little worried with no way to change the tire size in the vehicles computer.

Also do you have Quadralift? If so are there any rubs in entry/exit mode? I use that mode sometimes to pick up my elderly father and would be more necessary to use it with him if i raise the vehicle with oversized tires.

do you have a tire pressure monitoring system. If so any problems with that using the bigger tires?

Thanks

No issues with the TPMS, used the sensors from my stock wheels/tires.

Yes, I do have Quadralift. I honestly never use entry/exit mode, so I can't confirm if it rubs or not. I know that other members with this same wheel/tire combo have said that they experienced no rubbing at that height. I'll test it out tomorrow and let you know for sure.

Ill effects on the tire size change...there are a few things you should consider/be aware of.

Yes, the tire size change will throw off your speedometer - it will read about 1-3mph slower than what you are actually doing due the larger circumference of the tire. I believe this will impact your fuel economy readings and odometer as well. Not sure about the 2014, but you can set custom tire sizes with an aftermarket tuner.

Vehicle handling will degrade slightly, as expected. This should not be a shocker if you're considering larger AT tires and smaller wheels.

There will be slightly slower acceleration from a stop...again this expected due to the larger/heavier tire. A tuner will help mitigate this to a degree.

I have not had them on long enough to measure any drop in mpg but I'm sure I've taken a hit of 1-2 mpg...again, to be expected. I think my tuner may be helping to mitigate this a bit as well.

With all that said, IMO the benefits outweigh any of the negatives. But to each his own, they are not for everyone.

Thanks. I am hoping some tuner options come out next year for my '14 turbo diesel.
