How realistic can I expect...

my 14 Jeep SRT to drive in the snow this year on the stock skins? I do not want to purchase another set.

Thank you. But right off the bat he's talking about changing tires. And without reading through hundreds of replies about fitment all I need is someone who has experience driving these tires in 1 inch or 6 inches of snow. Is it as simple as just taking it easy as always anyway or am I looking at swerving all over the road driving 40 mph in snow mode.

I've always run all season tires on my DD's without any real problems, I will run the all seasons on my SRT and won't think twice about it.

I drove mine a couple times last year in snow...0 problems. The most we got was about 2" one time. These things are a beast in the snow...but having said that...I had the allseasons and Im sure there are better tires than the pirellis

If you have the P Zeros, you really should not run those in freezing temps. It's not about traction, but about the construct of the rubber. They have a possibility of failing in freezing temperatures. If you have the all-season Scorpions, then you will be fine. Personally, because I live in San Diego, all of my vehicles have summer-only tires. But that will all change when I move to NC next year.

I do have the Scorpions. Thanks. That takes a load off.

i did a couple of days with all seasons and the rest of last winter with dedicated snow tires through 4-6 inches of snow, highway speed = no problems with either set up. obviously better with dedicated snows.

Continental DWS's will be my next tire 50k mile warranty! I had them on a Scion and that thing was a snow monster.

I've driving through 2 winters now with the scorpions and I was fine here in the northeast. Only problem with forums is sometimes they turn into alarmist gatherings. I'll put it this way, it is an OEM tire they put on the truck for all season weather.
