I thought I'll start a performance tuning thread to learn from everyone what they KNOW, can be done to make the Durango more like and SRT.

I'm sure that there are quite a few parts from JGC or other SRT platforms that would bolt on.

I'll start: I ordered an R/T my obvious list of mods is as follows:
A set of 20x10 with 305 speed rated wheels
Copying Scott's Brembo breaks upgrade (anyone that drives hard should look at this mod)
Diablosport tuner
SRT rear sway bar

Supercharger when I can get my hands on one.

Of course the biggest piece I'm missing is to learn whether the rest of the suspension could be further enhanced.

Last but not least is there a way to get the ES / TC and the rest of vehicle dynamics management software from a JGC SRT and install on the Durango system. I figured since you can't buy a Rango SRT anyway, the price of parts mentions above with some elbow grease still makes this an attractive route.

The vehicle dynamics management is going to be tough but also $$$. Unless you are close personal friends with an SRT engineer I'd say it would be darn near impossible. Nothing is impossible if you have the funds.

Also I would be concerned since the system is set up for a lighter shorter rig. Again unless you have someone who can tune the system it won't work at its peak level.

Diablo has not released software yet for the 14 Durango. It should be out before the end of the year.

Immo I'm sure you are right but if there enough of us looking into it, it could be done.

If you have the money, I'd like to see you install the SRT V10 into the Durango. I think I've seen it for Around 22k new and less if you go used. But that should put some fire under the hood!

I would not go that route, it's a big massive heavy engine.

I think a supercharger should get plenty of oomph into the old Durango.

If I was doing a swap, I think mopar now has an all aluminum 6.4 hemi.
