Thinking of going with the K&N Filter

I was thinking of replacing my stock air filter with the K&N filter. Is there a big difference between it and the stock air filter? Anyone who has done this please provide some feedback. Thanks. :)

Ive got an airraid panel filter you can have for shipping costs bro. It just needs some cleaning and oil.

Get a good dry filter from Autozone (Purolater). You cannot beat that, period. Good flow, and will still filter all the junk out. No oil to mess with.

How many more particles is it letting in (not filtering) compared to an OEM filter?

Why risk letting more dirt into your engine for SLIGHTLY, maybe .1 mpg increase, and in all reality zero performance gain...?

Just seems silly to me.

When I had the factory intake the Purolator filters lasted longer than 3,000; closer to 15,000. I did clean it every once-in-a-while with a vacuum though.

Go with an AMSOIL nanofiber filter if you are going with a drop in.

If youre simply going for a replace filter and keep the original airbox then the only benefit of a K&N filter is the cost. Coz you won't have to change it again.

63 Series K&N Aircharger is the way to go though if you wanna see some difference :D
