Re: Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure

Need to find some mud puddles, and I heard winter is coming.
This is my first "A/T" tire ever. They ride a little different than the stockers, not bad at all, just something a little different in the steering. Can't wait to throw some snow with these steamrollers.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure

Did you get LT model as only LT have severe weather (snowflake/mountain) symbol? These are a replacement for Silent Armors which had the symbol on all.

Re: Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure

You are correct, these are the new Silent Armor replacements. The guy at Tire Barn said they are just as capable as the SA's and will be just slightly quieter on the road. He put them on his wife's suv right when they came out. I know the guy and trust his opinion. Plus, they are rated for 60K miles, opposed to the 50K SA's.
These are not Snokflake rated, but I'm confident they will suit my needs and be way better than the stockers.
The specific part number is 758076571 if anyone is interested.

Very nice choice. I've had 2 sets of Silent Armors, and loved them. I'm sure they only improved upon that design. Rubber bands would have been better than the stockers. :) At first, I thought the OE Latitudes would be OK (they are rated well, and get OK reviews elsewhere). I soon learned they were some of the worst OE tires I've had. I replaced mine with Cooper A/T3s about a month ago. I'm very happy with them.

How much louder than Latitudes?

Re: Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure

I take the Latitudes over any tire Goodyear or Cooper make on pavement and going down unpaved roads. Latitude is not a AT tire. Had a set of Wranglers on my 06 Element and winter tires gave better dry and wet road performance than the Wranglers.

Goodyear also has some of the worst quality control in the industry

Re: Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure

I must have gotten lucky then. The OE Latitudes are garbage. Tread wear indicators were almost level with the tread at 28,500 miles. On all 4 tires. I should have taken a picture of them.

I've only been up to 60mph so far, can't tell a difference in road noise from the Latitudes. Road trip home for Turkey day Thursday, I'll report back afterwards.

Just make sure you purchased the Goodyears from a dealer who will go to bat for you. Goodyear has some of the worst GC in the tire industry.
