Heated Seats - 2014

I just bought a 2014 Overland after selling my 2011. I am liking the new interior for the most part, but the heated seats seem to be a lot weaker in the 2014. They get warm, so they are working, but it is very subtle.

Anyone have this issue?

On high mine gets too hot, but it takes around five minutes.

I agree. I don't have a prior Jeep to compare to, but the last 4 vehicles I have owned got warmer than my Summit, and they got warmer quicker. It's not that I think they are defective or anything, just weaker. Great thing is that the steering wheel heats up right away, and makes all the difference!

Cheers

Have a '14 Durango, and I agree completely with your comments about the heated seats AND the steering wheel.

I have a 14 GC Overland, and agree completely. The seats get "warm", but take a long while to get there. I thought they weren't working at first. My wife's Acadia Denali seats heat up faster and are hotter than the Jeep's.

Yeah I agree with those on the seats, wish they'd heat up faster...

But the Steering wheel, that is warm by the time I hit the end of my driveway, not sure I'll be able to go back to a car without one

Mine seem to be really hot sometimes and other times its like they are on low although the setting is on high. The same goes for the Steering wheel. I feel like they may be somehow integrated into the HVAC temp controls...

Some of you guys must wear thick pants or long coats...both my steering wheel and seats warm up fast. The drivers seat actually gets too hot after 5 minutes, and I have to bump it down to low.

Yup, after about five minutes I have to turn seat heat from high to low.

I also have no complains about either the heated seats or steering wheel, both get pretty warm quickly

I love the heated steering wheel. Especially on the 16F days we have had in New England recently.

wheel and seats work quite well for me as well. I normally have to turn the seat from hi to low after a few minutes as I find it a little to warm for my liking. Note I typically only will have one a tshirt and a dress shirt or light sweater in the mornings (car is in the garage). The coat gets tossed in the passenger seat.
