2012 Alpine WK Srt8 exhaust - engine light

I have been told the engine light will most likely come on if I place a full exhaust system on the car. Is this so and can you get around it without flashing the computer?

only if you remove the oem cats and don't replace the 02 plugs etc. and also remove the valves in the exhaust.

whats your plans? Full catback? Removing the valves will throw a code....but tuning will take care of that.

A mate owns a performance shop and he wants to run a full stainless system from the headers back. He doesn't do the tuning though if a chip is involved and not many places in Sydney have done anything to a car like mine, so I am looking for some tips.

He said he expects the engine light to come on but wants to do some homework to make sure he gets it right. He can do cat back no worries, but that wont do too mich for performance apart from noise, right?

diablo makes tuners for our jeeps...not sure if international is available yet. Maybe he could install the exhaust and keep the valves?

I'll run it past him when i call tomorrow. I want to put an upgraded CAI on it also. The Diablo tuner I have looked up and will also see what he can do with it. I dont mind spending the $$$, just want to make sure it is spent on the right product and the right person does the work. An Alpine was just shy of 100k in Aus, so don't want to stuff it up!

Thinking of getting a Carbon Fibre Bonnet put on it, or painting it black to match the Black grilles etc that come on the Alpine. Is the SRT in the pic yours? Looks unreal.
