fuel door

Has anyone successfully had their dealer replace their non-flush fuel door? Seen a lot of posts where the dealers are basically saying "live with it." Just wondering if it's worth bringing up when I go in.

I've mentioned it twice now....and they've said they can't adjust it and 'live with it'. I pointed to one pre-delivery Summit on the lot which had a perfectly flush fuel door, but they also had another one where the door was not flush..like mine. If anyone manages to get a replacement on warranty I'll have another go next time I'm at the dealer (who is a good dealer and has been great addressing all the other software bugs, and rattles etc).

The dealer fixed mine. Fits perfectly flush now. It needed a new fuel filler houseing if I remember correctly.

Best of luck getting your sorted.

I've been denied twice. Same as above...some good ones on the lot and some bad one. They say they wouldn't know what to do to fix it.

I was told the same, they didn't know how to fix it and to live with it.

If the dealers are just saying they can't fix it, I suggest everyone with the problem contact Jeep. Not that it will get you an immediate fix, but if there are enough incidents it might prompt them to at least look for a solution.

If the filler housings are defective, Jeep will need to take it up with the vendor.

I agree with this course of action for any dealer that won't fix it. My fuel filler door isn't perfectly aligned but to me it's not so bad that I am worried about it. Now if people post some pics of what they are seeing I can compare mine to there's to see if I too need to talk to my dealer.

Is the door sticking out by the hinge part of the door? Is that what everyone is seeing?

Mine wouldn't open the other day. I started looking at it and the the metal piece that opens it just needed to be bent a little. If you bend it to far it makes the door stick out a little.

It's my whole top half---all the way across

It was the whole upper part of the door for me but it was worst at the hinge end. The weird thing is that since commenting on it a couple of weeks ago, the GC has been mainly sitting in the garage and when I got it out the other day, the fuel door was fitting perfectly flush, just like when I first picked it up in September, even though I haven't touched it.

I know the 14's have some electrical gremlins but now the vehicle can fix itself?
