Why...when I remote start my jeep the heat turns on, but when I open the door it turns off and has to manually be turned back on???

Did you bother doing a search on this topic? It's been discussed to death. A fix is available.

I have not found the answer.

Sometimes I think folks don't realize just how often searches go awry for the not fully search rated folks...

Sometimes I think people are just plain lazy and if they cant find a specific topic instantly they just create a new thread about it instead of spending a couple minutes looking.

This may not be the same problem. I had the tsb done to fix the climate shutdown after remote start and all was good for about two months. Then every few starts the climate control would reset goes to 72 on both sides and turns everything off. Took it in and they said I need a new climate control module and it's back ordered three weeks not coming in until December 27. They said it's a very common problem.

I agree too many folks don't try too hard. Fortunately Jacko has reproduced the entire owner's manual, a piece at a time, while answering questions.

I have found that when using the JeepGarage search with no results I do better using Google.

I start a Google search with "JeepGarage: "

Results from Google search "Jeep Garage: remote start"

And sometimes you would be right. Still I can look back on my own experience and know that it took me a while to figure searches out. Some terms are so generic that they yield a million and one false herrings while others may actually exclude what you were looking for. It takes a few for some of us pathetic old people to figure out how to search more productively.

In the end you can be the guy that gave the benefit of the doubt and took the time to help or the one that spent an equal amount of time firing off a sarcastic one liner that served no master. I've nothing to add, your response will be noted.

Give a man a fish and he eats for one day. Teach him to fish and he feeds himself forever.

One trick I've learned searching in this forum is to select 'show posts' instead of 'show threads'. I don't know why, but I find that to be more productive. Practice makes perfect. Concise terms work better. In the long run, searching may take a little more time, but the results are usually better than starting a new thread, especially if the topic has been covered in several other threads over a period of time. But if it's something new, a new thread is called for. Many people overlook the owner's manual. It really has a ton of info, and can be kept on your device. Jeep makes them readily available here: Jeep Owners | Download an Owners Manual 2004 - 2011 | Jeep
Happy searching! :D
