2014 5.7 oil filter #

Does anyone know what the Mopar part # is for the oil filter on the 14 Durango with the Hemi. I have searched to no avail. Some state that it may have changed for 14, I know the V6 did. Thanks

It should be in the owner's manual.

If it's not in the manual, or you don't want to look it up in there. Call the parts department at your dealer with your VIN and they'll give it to you in a second.

Thanks vertrkr. I looked in owners manual, but was unable to find a part number. The main reason for asking is a saw a Jeep owner on other post state he bought filters from dealer with VIN and they where smaller then one on his Jeep. Just wanted to have a part number to compare with what they give me.

Thanks vertrkr, the part # you gave matched up to what dealer gave me.

I checked the Jeep manual and was very surprised not to find it. 600+ pages and they seem to leave out the most basic information. There is more space dedicated to warnings about things everybody who is old enough to read "should" already know before being allowed to sit in a car, no less drive one.

Yes I was surprised as well. So sad that half the book is warnings, all caused by society trying to sue everyone for there mistakes, don't get me started it burns me up LOL.

Re: 2014 5.7 oil filter #

Vertrkr, Thanks again for the part number, that was it. Just changed oil this morning, and I must say one of the more easier oil changes out there. The access hole for drain plug and filter was perfect. Oil drained perfect and did not spill behind shield. It did get close at the end to getting behind shield and hitting sway bar, but it just missed. If car is up to high in front I'm sure it will hit sway bar and splash oil behind shield.
Two things I did notice is that gasket got stuck to housing. I know your always suppose to check, but in 25 years this was the first time. Must be the design of the filter for it to pull off so easy. The other strange thing was when refilling with oil I started getting a gurgling sound coming from air filter. Once a slowed down the the rate of fill it stopped. I removed air filter to check for any oil and it was oil free. Drain Plug and Oil Filter where not over tightened like some others have reported. The recommended 7 quarts brought it to the bottom of the hash marks. Ended up going with 7.5 quarts which brought it 3/4 of the way up the hash marks.
