Wiper Sizes - READ THIS BEFORE ORDERING...

So, time to get new wipers for my 2011 GC. No problem, will order online from Amazon to make it easy.....checked out the sizes needed on several wiper manufacturer website --- all said I'd need a 22" for driver's side, a 21" for passenger's side and a 12-A for the flipper glass. Ordered Trico exact fit so look just like the original factory ones.

Well........they arrive and I go to install and the passenger's side is way too big....need an 18" not a 21" as the wiper manufacturers say. Somewhere, these guys are getting the wrong size info. Anyway, thought I would pass it along in case you are getting ready to order new wipers.... And yes, I triple+ checked the websites for the correct sizes to order and they are all mistaken.

Strange, I ordered a 22" and 21". Both fit perfectly. Mine were Bosch Icons.

weird... i would have just measured them myself, then ran down to autozone and bought them. are we so lazy that we are ordering wiper blades these days?

Ditto, I replaced mine about 6 months ago but I'm pretty sure I picked up 21/22 Icons as well.

Some of us prefer the convenience of online ordering and accessibility to particular brands/models that are not available locally. It's not anything at all resembling "lazy"...

I had to look at my Amazon order, definitely got a 21 and 22. I do not however remember checking which side was 22 or 21 when I installed it :)

Are you so lazy that you choose to talk to jeep owners on an internet forum instead of going to local meets or talking to jeep owners in a parking lot? :D

I love amazon because I get whatever it is I need before I remember to go to a store. I think of something i need, order it on my phone or computer and it's there in 2 days...shipped for free. Amazon Prime. I also get excellent Amazon rewards with their credit card.

My '14 takes the Icon 21 & 22. Put them on right after I took delivery in April. I order a lot of stuff online. I hate the mall. But I have a Carquest Auto Parts in the neighborhood, and like to keep my relationship with them warm and fuzzy. They've been really helpful over the years. I guess I'm old school when it comes to my wheels. I come from a time when you went to the local Texaco station for gas and went inside for a cup of coffee, and to schmooze with the owner and mechanics. They even had some chairs so you could hang out and shoot the b.s. with your buddies if they showed up. Aw, the good old days. ;)

Nothing like that around here, Jacko...all the auto parts places are very "clinical". Even the independent mechanic we use doesn't like them! LOL

...yep, VERY lazy. LOL Naw. Just that I'm an Amazon Prime member and get free two day shipping, no sales tax and total cost was under $30 (for all three) and no chance of being out of stock after getting to the store....plus the gas savings on my V8. For the price and convenience most efficient to just order it on Amazon. Hard to go to the store for under $3 in gas and of course my time and traffic.

I can absolutely guarantee you that mine are 22" driver's and 18" passengers. I measured three times.....the 21" installed went a good half inch beyond the glass. The existing wiper is 18" and fits perfect. I even measured the 21" new one to see if by chance it was a 22" in the 21" box...nope, it was 21". The 22" new one was 22" and replaced the old 22". All confirmed by measuring.

A head scratcher how anyone else got 21" to fit......

Oh....and Amazon is so great, they refunded me for the 21" and I don't even have to send it back.......they said keep it, it is on us (that means too expensive to bother to ship back on their dime).

The 2011 uses a 22" on the drivers side and 21" on the passenger side. I'm a long time ANCO user and their Contours work perfect on the windshield. Their AR12A work perfectly on the rear glass.
