Chrome door strips removed and rear brow painted body color. I have the grand cherokee letters for the doors but I am liking the clean look right now.

Looking good! Much cleaner without the chrome door strips. I thought about leaving off the letters on my Jeep but added them anyway and I'm happy with how it looks. Nice job on the painted rear brow as well.

Thanks! I was going back and forth on removing the strips since people love to bang your doors in this area but I am glad I did. It really changes the look. Think I might add the letters this weekend since I've got em.

Installed new grill and rear brow. Wasn't happy with the job that was done with the painted rear brow and I've decided to reduce the amount of chrome.

Next up, try some plastidip on the emblems to see how they look and possibly vinyl wrap some of the other pieces. Trying to keep a nice balance...

Keep the mods coming the Jeep looks great. I think I'm going to find a spare tailgate strip and have it painted.. I have a white '11 and thinking about pulling the side trim, anything special to know?

Nope, just read through the threads here...lots of good tips. It's not a terribly difficult process just requires some time and elbow grease to cleanup the leftover 3m adhesive once the trim is off.

The grill and rear trim pieces were pretty easy to install. I used a set of trim removal tools and they really made it go smooth.

So I decided to try some plastidip on the emblems to see how they would look in black. Turned out pretty good. I'm going to see how they hold up after a few weeks and might eventually replace some or all of them with black OEM emblems.

Still deciding on the proper balance between the chrome/black trim. I kind of like the look of the front lower chrome trim. I think the chrome rear step surround needs to go. Probably have the mirrors vinyl wrapped gloss black next.
