Production Scheduled to Trim?

OK you guys. You have followed this more than I have. I went from production scheduled to trim (as of 8:30 EST) today. I think I read they build them in one day. I just thought I might see it going step by step on the build. Looks like they started on this last night.
Anyway after 23 days I am seeing movement.
Now the other long wait begins but at least I have something to look at besides production scheduled.
Cheers

Re: Production Scheduled to Trim?

I think the vots page only updates once per day around 8AM EST. Yesterday I checked mine at around 7am and it showed production scheduled. At 8am it showed paint. I checked through out the day until about 11PM and it did not move from that status. This morning at 7am I checked vots and it said paint, checked mots and he showed I was in inspection. At 8am I checked vots and it had changed to final inspection.

Mine went from scheduled (for 3 weeks) to built in a day. I never got separate emails for each build piece. I got one email that said it was being built and once I checked VOTS, it was done and in final inspection. That was over a week ago. Now I see it's estimated for delivery on 12/27 and I ordered on 11/13. So I should be right at 6 weeks.

I think ours will be riding the train together!

That's alright by me - I'm tired of waiting that's for sure.

I'm just glad to see a change. I have no problem waiting until mid to late JAN to pick it up in Houston.

On the upside, you got one built on a Wednesday!

I'm just ready for a new car - and I was hoping for a pre Christmas delivery so I could take a road trip the day after. Oh well I guess I'll just go a couple days later than I thought.

I'll be sure to check if your WK2 is at the dealer when I go get mine.

I PM'ed Milious for more details on tracking but I am thinking it will be closer to the end of the month with holidays and such. Yes a Wednesday build is a good thing however JNAP is building some awesome vehicles. I am sure you all saw the note about the VM diesel voted one of the best top 10 engines by Wards.

Darn, I'm not at work, so I won't be able to find it. If you got the update this morning at 8:30, like everyone does, including myself, that means that it's in assembly, done with body, paint, etc.

It won't even take another day to get finished, just a few hours. Heck by now it could be done. It could have rolled off the line at 8:31. :p

LOL @ Wednesday build is a good thing... man that crap is so old now... none of those old tales apply anymore.

This is exactly what happened to me.
VOTS:
Monday 0730 changed to paint
Tuesday 0730 changed to trim
Wednesday 0730 changed to final inspection.

i checked throughout the day and it only changed in the morning like you said. This country needs more high speed railways so we can all get our jeeps faster..... too bad i can't just pick it up in Detroit.
