Hi there :) I'm new to this site, but not a new Jeep owner. I have owned 4 Jeeps (all different models) and need some help. I have NEVER had any issues with my previous Jeeps, but I traded in my Wrangler a month ago and purchased a 2014 Cherokee. I have owned this car for a very short time and have less than 1500 miles on it. Last night while driving (I was driving slower than 35mph and was only 3 miles away from home), my ETC light came on, slippery road / traction light, check engine light too, and a message came on my dash center saying "service transmission." The gas would not work. I turned it off and on a couple times and somehow managed to get home. Help! The ETC light is now off, but the engine light is still on. I know I will be covered under my warranty to have it fixed, but does anyone have an idea what's going on? Is this going to involve a major overhaul of my transmission?
This is the Jeep Grand Cherokee forum. You say you have a Cherokee, you need to address your problem on that forum.
