Selling 08 WK Laredo X- Need input

I am thinking about selling my '08 Laredo X package in the near future and need some advice on what would be a good price point to start at. It has 72k miles, new ignition, water pump, HVAC blower motor, and up to date on service. Interior is very clean with no cracks or tears in the "leather", however it does need new tires. Has navigation, rear camera, back up sensors, sunroof, etc. I'm located in Connecticut and was thinking about a starting price of $16,200, thoughts, recommendations?

I have an 09 with 50k in similar condition and I took it to the dealer the other day and they offered me 20k. I'm no expert but if it's in really good condition you could probably get a little more for it.

Re: Selling 08 WK Laredo X- Need input

So I need some advice from you all. I want to sell/trade my 08 WK and upgrade to a '14 WK2 however I owe more than what any dealer in my area is willing to give me on trade by about $2k. I dont want to wrap negative equity into a new lease or purchase so my only way out is to sell it. I've read in a couple places that I should take out a personal loan and pay off the car loan so I can take title and make a private sale easier. Is this something I should do or would it be foolish? Thanks in advance for your help.

did you buy new? if you did, why do you still owe money? I have an 08 Laredo with 90K on it and the 4.7L. Thing runs great and I have no intention on trding anytime soon, especially with the lifetime powertrain warranty that came with the 08s

I didn't buy new unfortunately, I bought it used in 2011 and from what the dealer told me I don't have the lifetime warranty.

Id say 14k but you'll be short like you say. And we dont want that. So it sounds like 16k to break even?

I owe less than 14k just thought I could a little bit of cash out of it. So 14k should be my starting price at this point?

Statt at 16 and go lower if no one bites

I'll try that. Thanks for the advice.

Slapped some new tires on her and put her up for sale on a few sites in my area, have had a couple of bites so far but unfortunately one is a scam-stupid Craigslist....
