Won't start after changing Turn bulb
I have a 2007 Grand Cherokee
I went to change the driver's side front turn signal bulb. First removed the grill with the plastic rivets. I unbolted the screw holding the headlamp assembly, made room for my hand to get into the right place.
I did not disconnect the battery before disconnecting the bulb -__-
I took the bulb out, and then replaced a new one back into the slot, reassembled.
When I went to start it, the vehicle started, but then turned itself off after 2-3 seconds. I did this a few more times. The dash was showing "Transmission Over Temp" and "Service Due" as well as a flashing solid red light. I'm not sure if these are relevant.
I decided to pull the negative terminal of the battery for a few minutes to reset the computer, and reattached it. Now the starter doesn't even turn over.
There's power throughout the vehicle, I can get air, windows, radio, dash lights, head lights to power, but not the engine.
Probably should have taken it to someone before I messed it up, I'm not a technician :(
Any suggestions on where to look, or how to get this going again would be greatly appreciated.

Hey guys - you may want to check your neutral safety switch on the side of your tranny near the linkage. The switch is a several position sensor and detects the trans in neutral or drive etc and if the sensor is not exactly positioned in park or neutral then it will not even click , but you will get power to everything else. Hope that helps.
