looking for SMALL spacers

anyone know where i can get small wheel spacers?

I want to get away from the "bolt" but i dont want anywhere near the hugeness that is the 1.5" spacer...

is there such a thing as a 1/2" spacer? are they safe?

Re: looking for SMALL spacers

any spacer like that means less threads on the wheel studs.

i would never consider anything more than 1/4. even that is tight. i had 1/8 and it seemed like the wheel lug didnt have many threads left.

if you arent using a adapter spacer that has new studs, then 1/4 MAX. or get longer wheel studs.

1/4 might be all i need... where do i find some to fit the WK?

thanks for the input bro.

Re: looking for SMALL spacers

You can always get new longer studs to help with the thread issue, i did that to the XJ.
Pep boys, auto zone have those spacers.

ohh so i can just pick up a 1/4" spacer set from a local parts store?

that will save me then... all i need is a small spacer to escape "the bolt"

Re: looking for SMALL spacers

... how hard is it to replace the studs on the WK? i haven't even looked

Re: looking for SMALL spacers

most any decent tire place can replace wheel studs if that becomes necessary if you cant tackle it yourself.

Re: looking for SMALL spacers

i dont know the pitch but ours are 1/2 inch x pitch x length

they can be a bitch to change. they are usually press fit.

let me see what the manual says....

Re: looking for SMALL spacers

it shows some tool in the manual they use to press them out with. you have to remove rotor and caliper and wheel of course

Re: looking for SMALL spacers

.... 1/4" spacer it is... haha

If they are only like 10-15$ each like i see online, i will do the 1/2" when i get time to do this project myself.

Thanks rob and acid. I will update tomorrow.
