Has anyone had to replace the front struts on their non air ride suspension yet?
I have noticed some cupping on the edge of the front tire and am afraid the struts are needing to be replaced. The Jeep is a 2011 Laredo 4x4 with just over 50,000 miles on her.
Does that seem a little premature to be needing to replace them? The Jeep has been on the trails around Ouray and Silverton Colorado and it does have the RRO leveling kit but I wouldn't think that would cause them to wear out that soon. I'm still running the stock size tires.
Anyway, it is what it is and I was just wonder what brands you guys are going with and where you are getting them from. I've just started my research on them but I haven't seen too many options for them yet.
I appreciate any help or input you can give me.
Re: Front Struts
I had to replace mine due to one of them blowing a seal at appx 40K. I went back with OEM struts.
Don't expect great wear from the OE tires....
When is the last time you had the alignment checked?
