Hid 2009 wk
Forgive me in advance, I know this may be the thousandth time it's been asked but...what all will I need to convert over to HID lights? I have an '09 WK Rocky Mountain Package since it has a few upgrades over a stock Laredo I wasn't sure if it did in fact have a Canbus system or anything that might cause some complications.

I am a complete NOOB to this forum, and to JEEP vehicles in general. I had never been in one until I bought it. Btw, I am absolutely in love with it! I've already swapped out the stock grille inserts and made my own courtesy of this forum, and am in the process of minor visual upgrades. It's a GD sickness.

Anyways, any insight would be greatly appreciated!

What do you want to do? HIDs in your stock halogen housing or a switch over to true HID projectors?

Not sure the difference, or if it's worth it. What are your thoughts? I mean is it worth the money to put in the projectors?

Here are a couple picks of my custom grille insert...courtesy of your earlier threads. Haha

Re: Hid 2009 wk
I've done both. The simplest and cheaper way are HID in your halogen housings. Just 2 ballasts/2 bulbs/relay and you are good to go. NO canbus system on our rigs but you will need a relay for it to function properly.

As for the projectors, it cost a bit more but worth it IMO. The projectors headlights can cost anywhere from $200-800. You will still need the projector bulbs+ballasts and a relay.
