t/c is shot so can I ?
 
my t/c is shot in 4hi-4lo only rear wheels spin as we are getting dumped on by white powder, so my ? is can I disconnect my front drive shaft? save me a hair on MPG and fuel or is there a sensor on there?

don't bother taking the front driveshaft out 2wd and 4wd wj's didn't get any better MPG haha.

Adjust your right foot for more mpg.

$3.27 gallon jeep gets about same MPG and my 04 wrx $3.69

It wont save a one penny. If your from the Detroit area I have a tc model 242.

If it's a 247 and you don't have 4 lo either you better concentrate on finding a t case because it's probably going to self destruct very soon.

If it works like 2Lo, then probably the chain stretched too much and left the sprocket. This way the chain will most probably wear through the T-case casing.
