I need some technical advice on my new 2014 WK2 Summit 4x4 ecodiesel
On page 332 of the Owner’s Manual, it describes the following feature:
332 UNDERSTANDING YOUR INSTRUMENT PANEL
• Hold ’n Go™
When this feature is selected, the vehicle will automatically
hold its position when it comes to a stop. To make
your selection, touch the “Hold ’n Go” soft-key until a
check-mark appears next to setting, indicating that the
setting had been selected. Touch the back arrow soft-key
to return to the previous menu.
I have not been able to figure out how to do this. Can you give me some pointers?
Scottina06....Is that like the Select Speed for the Diesel? Will it ever make it for the Diesel with the Off-Road II? Also for the Diesel vehicles with the ORA-II that don't have Select Speed will they be able to get it via a reflash of the computer...if it comes out?
it could be a flash thing depending if no componets are different or it affects the performance drivability of the said model...ie. diesel. Like the SRt doesn't get the ACC stop n go because it affected the driveability of the beast. May be the same here.

There isn't any thing different (that I know of) except the switch on the select terrain has a different picture. Mine has the Hill Descent control (braking)...I want the Hill Ascent Control (throttle control). Select Speed is both. I believe the only ones that currently have it are the 5.7 Hemi's with the ORA-II. Thanks I appreciate it!
i am looking at page 332 of the sixth edition of the owners manual (no print date), copy attached. i took delivery of the car on december 7, 2013
also, member 'Texas Trailhawk' posted this response from a Jeep rep stating:
I am glad to read of your interest in Jeep.
I think you may have been reading the owner's manuals for two completely
different vehicle models.
The Hold 'n Go is not a feature offered on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee at
this time.
The The Hold 'n Go is, however, a feature offered on the 2014 Jeep Grand
Cherokee.
? Hold ?n Go?
When this feature is selected, the vehicle will automatically hold its
position when it comes to a stop and it allows you to remove your foot
from the brake pedal while stopped and the vehicle is in drive. It can
be activated or deactivated in the EVIC menu system.

Thank you for your interest in Jeep. Have a great weekend!
When I picked up my Limited in April I believe the salesman mentioned this when we were going through the menus & I selected it. Think it was called "hill hold" or something; anyway it does work. If selected, on any kind of an upward incline (love it on the boat ramps) when you take your foot off the brake to move it to the accelerator the Jeep will not roll backwards! Try it! Great with my boat, I don't recall now many seconds it "holds" the jeep, but it is plenty of time to get to the gas pedal. I absolutely love it! Dave
I could have sworn I had a "Hill Start Assist" option somewhere in my RA4 menu. have not looked for it since I last upgraded the radio programming so maybe it disappeared. Sounds the same as "Hold N Go" .. maybe marketing got ahead of the programmers??
Hill Start Assist (HSA) is not the same as Hold N Go. HSA only works when you are starting to move from a full stop on inclines greater than 6%. It will hold the brakes for you for up to 3 seconds while you shift your foot from brake to the accelerator pedal to avoid rollback and will only disengage the brakes once you're pumping enough torque to the drivetrain (it's pretty weird to feel this work as you press on the accelerator and the car doesn't move). Hold N Go will keep your vehicle stationary once you bring it to a full stop until you touch the accelerator pedal. This feature is useful while waiting, for example, at a traffic light as you can bring the vehicle to a stop and then take your foot off the brake. To my knowledge, there is currently no JGC with this feature available.
