HOW TO:Install 2008 4.7 intake manifold on a 2006
 
INSTALLATION

1. Install intake manifold gaskets.
2. Install intake manifold.
3. Install intake manifold retaining bolts and tighten in sequence shown in to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).




4. Install left and right radio suppressor straps.
5. Install throttle body assembly.
6. Install throttle cable bracket.
7. Connect throttle cable and speed control cable to throttle body.
8. Install fuel rail (Refer to 14 - FUEL SYSTEM/FUEL DELIVERY/FUEL RAIL - INSTALLATION).
9. Install ignition coil towers (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/IGNITION CONTROL/IGNITION COIL - INSTALLATION).
10. Install coolant temperature sensor (Refer to 7 - COOLING/ENGINE/ENGINE COOLANT TEMP SENSOR - INSTALLATION).
11. Connect electrical connectors for the following components:

Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
Throttle Position (TPS) Sensor
Coolant Temperature (CTS) Sensor
Idle Air Control (IAC) Motor

Ignition coil towers
Fuel injectors

12. Install top oil dipstick tube retaining bolt and ground strap.
13. Install generator including electrical connections (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/CHARGING/GENERATOR - INSTALLATION).
14. Connect Vapor purge hose, Brake booster hose, Speed control servo hose, Positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose.
15. Install air conditioning compressor including electrical connections.
16. Fill cooling system (Refer to 7 - COOLING - STANDARD PROCEDURE).
17. Install accessory drive belt (Refer to 7 - COOLING/ACCESSORY DRIVE/DRIVE BELTS - INSTALLATION).
18. Install air cleaner housing and throttle body resonator. Tighten resonator bolts 5 Nm (44 in. lbs.).
19. Connect negative cable to battery.

TIPS-
The fuel line is NOT difficult... you don't even need to disconnect it IF YOUR GOOD. Just remove the 4 bolts holding the fuel rail to the intake and lift the rail up CAREFULLY maneuver it over (out of the way) to the drivers side. Your injectors will stay attached to the rail. When your done just CAREFULLY maneuvering your fuel rail and injectors back into place... push down visually insuring nothing is interfering with the installation... then reinstall the 4 bolts and snug them down..

After that you should be able to lift it right out.

Pics would be nice, but i am really curious to see what kind of a difference in power it's gonna make!
