Demon Eyes Experimenting...

Been experimenting with a demon eyes retrofit with my old set of projector fogs. Still trying to decide on what color I wanna go with, definitely not blue or red lol. Here's a couple pics:

be careful with blue/ any blue on the outside can be construed as impersonating a police officer/

Yeah, all the good colors tend to be verboten by the local vehicle laws.
Red, amber, blue, etc.

Dunno if green would be verboten, but if you are old enough to remember the old Vincent Price "demon in the basement" movies, that puky green used for Cthulhu might work...

I paid 90 for green halos. Officer said red or blue he could lock me up.
Judge said green reserved for Mobile command center and purple for funerals. Technically you should move over for both.

Amber is fine. I have been working on some amber ones. Looks like,a cats eye in daytime.

Exactly, I'm tryin to stay away from Law Enforcement/Emergency Vehicle colors o Red and Blue completely. Never heard about green and purple being reserved for anything. I've been playin with old headlight housings too, modifying the headlight shrouds fora different look too.

Re: Demon Eyes Experimenting...

i cannot tell you they work YET but I bought some amber led modules that have a light sensor in them so the demon eye would turn off when the projector is lit/

good luck.

The light sensor should work fine. I was thinkin about running mine to a toggle switch. I already run my headlight CCFL's on one and my headlight/tail light LED's on another. Hopefully I'll stop playing soon because I also been messin with a tail light retro fit. If it's not one thing it's another lol.

sounds good. i may also put the demon eyes on a switch or controller of some sort.

I added some sequential led strip to my headlights on my acura......i need to get some pics. I bought strips from radiantz qith 1mm leds very tightly spaced. I used a weber sequencer with just 2 points. it works great. I need to capture some vids to share/

I used to be big into the LEDs on my vehicle and did extensive research into the legality. The statement that red/blue is reserved for LEO is not always true. You need to look at the specific laws in your state. Some states you cannot have red/blue because it is reserved for LEOs. Some states allow you to have red/blue as long as it's not flashing. Some states allow you to have blue, but not red. Bottom line, look into your state laws.

I've worked closely with various LE agencies over the years and regardless of the laws for red and blue lights I prefer not to have the attention drawn because of running those colors
