What is this evic symbol?

I quickly looked through my manual looking for this symbol but don't have time today so can someone tell me what this symbol is for? My guess is gas cap?

Yes, that is the loose gas cap indicator. See page 306 of 2012 owner's manual.

"If the vehicle diagnostic system determines that the fuel filler cap is loose, improperly installed, or damaged, a loose gascap indicator will display in the telltale display area. Tighten the fuel filler cap properly and press the SELECT button to turn off the message. If the problem continues, the message will appear the next time the vehicle is started. A loose, improperly installed, or damaged fuel filler cap may also turn on the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL)."

Thanks. I got out and check the cap but the light didn't turn off but I didn't press the select button. Hopefully it's off when I start her up to leave work today.

Re: What is this evic symbol?

the evap leak giblets that trip the gascap code need one or more cooldown/heatup cycles to clear.
The leak detection uses the partial vacuum caused by night-time cooldown of the gasoline/vapors in the tank to decide whether there is a leak or not.
