WHEELS - Need help

Gents -

I've been loving every minute of my '14 but need to start looking for 22"s for spring.

I really do like the look/price of the FR 22"s, but I'm really curious what else is out there. I've been a long time fan of ADV.1's, but I just cannot justify the price. It's absurd IMO.

What are some other solid wheel companies out there for SUV's? I've always been very in tune when it comes to cars, but not so much for SUV's. I'd love a 22" wheel and the wider the better. 22x11 or even 12 if that's possible. I love the wide stance and do not want to go any narrower than the OEM 10's.

TIA

The FR 22's are a true anomaly, very good wheel both structurally and aesthetically, for a great price. Aside from them, you really aren't going to find a quality 22" wheel for less than $700-1000 a piece. The bigger the wheel, the higher the price, and aside from ridiculous donk crap, 22" wheels are pushing about the biggest you can get and be "normal".

Me personally, outside the FR 22's, I wouldn't put a 22" rim on my $65k SUV that costs less than $500-700 a piece. For the most part in the wheel world, price does = quality.

Black Ops has a line of wheels or can custom make a set for you...all USA aluminum etc. $5k with tires or so. Theres also COR and Concavo etc. Sets like those are gonna cost you 5-6K plus tires. Youre really gonna have to find a style you like and start pricing them.

I agree with everything you're saying. And am wondering what wheel brands sell 'quality' wheels for that $500-$700/wheel price?

There's a difference between $500-$700 and $1200+ such as ADV1/HRE, etc.

Re: WHEELS - Need help

the problem is most wheel manufacturers dotn make wheels that fit the crazy high fwd offset the wk2 SRT uses.....then we have the HUGE brembos front and rear. More than likely they will have to do a custom set of any design you like....that's the problem.

I talked to ADV1 last week for a 22" wheels for my WK2, 4 wheels will cost around 6300 and they are custom made wheels so you can have it with any size, width and offset you need. But I don't know what is the best offset for the WK2

Cali Wheels in San Jose is worth calling. They're the shop that custom drilled my Vossens to fit. They maybe be able to make a wheel you like fit. I love my Vossens and think they're worth every penny.

I love your setup. I actually called Vossen about the CV3's and they told me 'no go' on a SRT.

Can you tell me the specs of your setup? Any more pictures, especially from the back?

Are you running stock suspension? What tires?

Looks great, man!

Don't know the full spec (offset, etc) on the wheel - you'd have to call Cali Wheels and ask them what CV3 they start with for SRTs. Cali Wheels is the only place I know of that will custom drill and make them fit the SRT. The wheel is 22x10.5, the tire is 305/35/22. All the pics and rest of the info is in my thread

Vossen talked to me about wheels and they told me I should wait a month or two til they have a new wheel program available where they build the wheel for each vehicle vs custom drilling other wheels to make it fit my jeep. I know Cali wheels has posted several jeeps they drilled vossens for but vossen recommended I don't do that since they weren't manufactured for the jeep specs. I love the CV3 though. That's what I would get.
