Using Pandora Radio with Uconnect

I recently got a Galaxy Note 3. So with the phone in the vehicle and turned on, can I access Pandora Radio through the 8.4AN without having to bring up the Uconnect app on the Note 3? The 8.4AN does access the music files going through bluetooth but in order to access Pandora, I have to pick up the phone and click on the Pandora app and then hit the play arrow on either the 8.4AN or the phone. Maybe thats normal. I called Uconnect and they didn't have an answer.

That would be normal operation for playing Pandora, iHeart radio, or even Spotify. In Bluetooth mode I believe the music app ( play music ) is the default app that plays music.

Good thing is that if you are playing Pandora the song information stop comes up and you can skip or pause must like normal.

It's funny. I can get the 1st photo screen shot when playing music using the Pandora app. And when using the Pandora app from my phone I get the 2nd photo playing a different song. Is it because the Pandora App under the apps button is using the GC's on board telemetry and my phone is using its own bluetooth?

I don't think android supports album art over Bluetooth. I could be wrong.
