Cruise control issues

Dunno if anyone can help but for the last few months i've owned a 2002 WJ 4.7l overland thats been converted to lpg. Since i bought it cruise control hasn't worked, the light comes on but nothing happens. I've heard this may be something to do with the vacuum system but usually that affects the vent blowers as well, and they're working fine. Would like to get CC working if possible as i do a lot of motorway driving and might help slightly with the economy. Anyone got any ideas?

Cheers

Alex

Re: Cruise control issues

It probably is the CC Servo. In my experience it was always the first thing to stop working when the cruise is not ever being used.

Do you know how to access the servo, and is it a DIY fix with a replacement part or is it something to go to a dealer for?
Thanks for the advice.

Yes the cruise is vacum controlled maybe check anyway there might be a small hole that is stoping it from working but keeping the air vents going. the hose is right by your batttery have you changed it out latley or ever? look for a vacum line around there and just see if maybe its craked or something could be a cheap fix...\

Re: Cruise control issues

is the vacum for the cruise control only in one place or does it run throughout the engine area?

Re: Cruise control issues

on the 4.7 you'll have to look at it and try and find the line.. on the 4.0 the vacum line is always under the intake manifold...
