new 09 owner

hey guys i just bought a brand new 09 grand cherokee limited....... i have a few questions

1) what are the biggest size rims/wheels and tire size that will fit with stock suspension (no rubbing or limited turning)

2) what mods can i do that will not void my factory warranty (suspension, engine, exhaust, ect...)

3) what would i expect to pay for parts and install (estimate) to do a full SRT cosmetic conversion

thanks........ im glad i finally found a jeep forum that isnt all about climbing rocks and scratching up a $40,000 vehicle

Welcome to JG!

You can fit up to 22 Inch Rims baby but you will have little tire! But 20 Inches look so much better with some good tires IMO.

theres guys with 24's and 26's.

nothing will VOID your entire factory warranty. You would just lose the warranty on the item you replaced. For instance-if you replace the springs...you could lose the warranty on your oem springs.

Check out justforjeeps.com They have the SRT front/rear bumper packages and SRT side skirts for sale new. Add about $800 to the bumper prices for paint and $300 for the skirts. I suggest ebay for the bumper skins and justforjeeps.com for the related parts. Youll save a little. You can also try www.car-part.com for used SRT parts from salvage yards.
Check out the wk forum and the sticky at the top for your suspension needs.

so if i lower my ride the only parts that wont be covered by my warranty are the parts that i replace? so my brakes and all that stuff wont be effected?

Re: new 09 owner

nope.....there is a law to cover that....Magnuson-Moss warranty act--

new stock srt parts are expensive....but justforjeeps.com sells both of them. Be sure to call and ask for Peter and ask for the JG discount

all srt shocks and struts-
http://www.justforjeeps.com/srshab.html

springs-these are just the rears..but again..call, speak with peter and order them with the JG discount
http://www.justforjeeps.com/srresp.html

But I recommend these if you dont wanna pay that much

FYI-all 2005-2010 WK's use the sae Bilsteins for replacements

for the springs i suggest the wk eibachs at www.tirerack.com or h&r springs at http://hrsprings.com/
You could also use the oem SRT springs from justforjeeps.com for the drop you desire with your stock shocks
