Sahara wheels on 14 hemi or diesel

I've seen a lot of mixed info on this so to clarify, I wanted to start a thread specifically on this topic.

1. Do the JK Sahara wheels stick out more than the stock WK2 wheels? It seems that they sit in further (narrower track) and rub the caliper on the v8/diesel models.

2. Do stock Sahara 18" wheels and tires fit on the WK2? It seems like they only fit the v6 and will fit the v8/diesel only with spacers.

3. Tires- how do you like the stock Bridgestone Dueler AT RHS tires from the Sahara? Rating in snow, dry, noise, etc.?

4. Pics- it would be nice to have one thread with a picture compilation of JK Sahara wheels on the WK2 Grand Cherokees.

I look at getting Sahara take offs as a really good and cheap way for us WK2 owners to get replacement wheels and tires. I'm looking to get some myself and want to make sure I have the info to make a good decision.

I am also interested in this. Also, have read mixed comments on whether they fit or not. Some folks have had no issues, some have had to grind down the caliper clips. I'm with you and would like some clarification. I have not heard about the v-6 v/s v-8 one fits the other doesn't. Are you just talking about the the oversized brakes on the SRT? Since the offset is less,I believe they would stick out further by about 10mm.

I think the rubbing on the calipers is on the v8/diesel due to the oversized brakes. It doesn't make sense that it sticks out more (wider track) and still hit the caliper.

Sahara wheels are 18", so I don't see why they'd rub. Rubicon wheels are 17" and it's been rumored that they rub on the GCs with HD brakes. (Hemi/diesels). However, someone on another forum fit and cleared them. It's super close but they fit. Of course it's so close, it can be expected that Your results may vary. I'm not sure if '14s would have a different outcome either.

Can you post a link to the thread where someone cleared them? I had given up hope, but now I'm more than slightly excited!!

Did you ever get this questions answered??

i have a 2013 Overland w/ HEMI. Buddy just changed out wheels on 2013 Wrangler sport that had 255/75/17 wheels. he's offering great deal.

from what I read is that the HD brakes will rub and can be ground down slightly to make work. he's going to let me try them...is there ANYTHING else to worry about? And can anyone tell me they had success grinding this down to make the 17s work?

I keep reading and reading and nothing is 100% clear on this one. Just going to put them on this weekend. Will photo and post results. Would prefer not to grind, but guess i can if necessary.

I'm looking to have a Colorado wheel option when i decide to get back to 13,000'. The 20s made it a couple years ago, but was not with some anxious moments.

I don't think there will be anything else to worry about. I test fitted some 17" Rubicon wheels on our 2014 diesel 4x4 with HD brakes and just couldn't gather the courage to grind on our 5 day old GC so I went another route. If I tried again today I would grind and run them. The grinding would be very minimal and not compromise the caliper strength in my opinion.
