EVIC shows battery voltage at 15v

On the battery voltage screen it usually bounces back forth between 14 & 15 volts. Anyone else seeing 15v? Wondering if I have a bad voltage regulator on my alternator. Guess I'll have to measure with my multi-meter to be sure. I've always read 13.8v - 14.3v is the normal range.

Mine bounces from 14-15 as well. I think this is normal.

I have never been above 14.4V. 15V seems a little high, but I would probably not worry about it.

I was just in ours trying to figure out an iPhone issue (new thread in a minute) and ours read 15v.

I wonder if that's normal with the AGM batteries in these vehicles.

Re: EVIC shows battery voltage at 15v

Ok, I think all is good. Indeed we have the AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries and I put my multi-meter on the terminals when idling without a load and measured 14.6 volts. The EVIC screen was still bouncing between 14 and 15 volts but the multi-meter stayed constant at 14.5 - 14.6 volts so I think all is well, I guess the EVIC screen rounds up at .6. I did not see anything funny in the battery compartment like puddles of water or corrosion. I drive short trips usually so it's probably in a constant state of charging.

Mine goes between 14-15 as well.

"As with all gelled and sealed units, AGM batteries are sensitive to overcharging. These batteries can be charged to 2.40V/cell (and higher) without problem; however, the float charge should be reduced to between 2.25 and 2.30V/cell (summer temperatures may require lower voltages)."

Hope Dodge thought of this, it does seem so as I don't recall ever seeing 15V when it was warmer or on long trips.
