Here is the number for Chrysler Incentives,

(800) 227-0757

IMO they are THE source for this info.

I wanted to leech on this thread, cause same subject.

The Info:
I been in market for a new SUV vehicle in Salt Lake. I took home the Grand Cherokee for the weekend from my local dealer, and the product sells itself, Parley's Canyon didn't even faze her at all, and I now 100% sold on the G. Cherokee, over the Pathfinder, Explorer, Cherokee, Durango, and 4Runner.

The Jeep I took home was a GC Laredo E, with just the Off Road package, MSRP 34.4, and they wanted $33,250 for the vehicle, which of course is the invoice, and not acceptable. It is basically at a stalemate, I returned it, and the bottom line is, I want the tow, and screen/wheel packages with the off road, and KBB's price for all that is $34.9k, which is 3k more than I wanted to pay tops.

So basically, my plan is to wait it out as long as possible till I get the right deal and of course to save up for an even bigger down payment!

The question:

I would just like to know when Jeep does its deals so I can get an idea of how much to save and how quickly.

I been trying to find info on "past incentives", not future ones. Like how much others got, and when. So that maybe I can get an idea of when the deals are going, and if one pops up, if its incentive are good or not.

My cousin claims she got $2,000 incentive and 1k off the asking price of a Grand Cherokee Laredo, and I think she got it in 2011-2013. From What I read on forums, I missed the "winter/Christmas" sale where people were getting 500-1000 in incentives.

I am guessing the next best deal will be around Memorial Day Weekend, cause in Utah, Memorial Day weekend means lots of 4 Wheeling, and partying out in the desert.

I've noticed some multi-thousand incentives, etc. for the vehicles collecting dust on dealer lots. I suspect it may be some time before we see 4-5K off a GC, unless your dealer lots are far more heavily populated than the ones around here.

Have you wandered around different dealers in the area, or are all of them holding fast to invoice on hot selling vehicles?

PS. There are a few easy to join groups that can at least get affiliate pricing.

Re: Current Incentives

The way I see it:

Right now Jeep is riding high. They have a great vehicle to ride the Polar Vortex Storm. Their competition is very limited. Fast forward a few months; Honda has their new Pilot out (I know, it is not a direct competitor, but I truly believe there will be many, many families opting for it over the Jeep). Same with the Toyota Highlander; again, not a direct competitor unless you think in terms of CUV market, which the Jeep will fall into for many.

So I say, if you can, wait until the "competition" catches up a little, then Jeep will be more willing to deal when the showroom floor sees less sales.

As to Factory incentives, I can maybe see $500 customer cash in May, but that's probably it. I'm thinking their numbers are up, and by not offering rebates they will only raise their stock.

Of course, I could be totally, completely, off base!

Re: Current Incentives

The "Summer Clearance Event" should begin in the mid July timeframe. At that point, the 2015 models will be in production and starting to hit the dealer's lots, and the 2014 models will need to go.

I am willing to bet that there will be some Factory Cash on the Grand Cherokees in this time frame for buyers that aren't in any kind of hurry.

My dealer is willing to do 4% below invoice with no questions asked...

July is a good time frame. That gives even more time than I thought for saving up for bigger down payment. Means no insurance, interest, or car payment for another 5 months.

I know there is a couple of them in the city in my color, that have my package or packages. I just don't want to buy with no incentive.

The $33.2k is about $200 shy of 4%, so probably like 3.7%. I am sure I could get to 4% if I buy on the spot. I just haven't got that serious yet to really get a solid price, I only decided on the GC recently.

All the dealers I see get mad when I tell them the bank is doing all my Auto stuff. I think they're funny wanting you to let them run your credit and try and get you a loan from "dozens of banks", it cracks me up, one dealer (not jeep), literally said, "so your not getting gap, extra warranty, or any extras with us?". Almost all said "let us run your application anyway and try and get a better rate". The dumbest I heard was, "Use your credit card for the rest of the down payment". All dealers including Jeep, are all about "Buy Now", they say just about anything to get you to buy on the spot.

I love this line "what can I do today to get you into this vehicle?"

Many years ago I had a BMW sales guy tell me he couldnt feed his family if he sold me the car at that price. I told him I didnt care if he fed his family ramen noodles and had to go on food stamps. I was working another dealer against him and had a deal already and just wanted the price matched since they were closer. He had to finish a delivery so I was waiting in his office. Sales manager came by and asked if he could help I said sell me this car at this price. He took a quick look and said sure. I signed the papers and was out of there in less than 10 minutes. I dont like to waste time and no I dont want your financing I go with my credit unions. When the car arrived at dealership I showed up with a box of ramen noodles and left them on the sales guys desk. He wasnt amused. Too bad. Shame all vehicle manufacturers and dealers in the US dont use the Saturn model for sales. Thats the price no negotiating and the dealer down the street isnt going to beat it.
