33x12.50x20 Nitto Mud Grapplers

Hi everybody I just purchased a 2014 Grand Cherokee Laredo. Its gonna be a road only no trails but want the look kinda vehicle lol. I love the way the grapplers look and have had great mileage out of them compared to other mud tires, but my concern is will they fit with just a leveling kit? I've seen some people posting they have 32" tall tires on stock suspension. I'm going to be purchasing an aftermarket wheel with these tires. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Why waste if never going to use?

Mud tires on a street only vehicle? Seriously? Less MPG, more cost, more noise, worse handling, for a "look"?

not to sound like a d!ck but if I was worried about mpg, money, and noise I would of bought a little kia.......I've done some more research and i'll be ordering a 2.5" lift to make them fit.

I was gonna say you'll definitely need a lift. I have narrower 33s and they still rub a bit. You'll probably need wheels w/ an offset or spacers large enough to push those wide tires away from the fender wells and suspension. It can obviously be done, as the sema GC had the same size. I just don't know everything they did to make it work.

And dont forget substantially longer braking distances in both the dry and the wet along with crappy performance in the snow. Another rig built for cars and coffee and mall crawling.

So does that TJ still run and look as good six years later?

Really there's only a handful of people who take their WK2's offroad, at least you're honest about it. Definitely post pics, and like others say wheel offset will be key, you'll be grinding the pinch weld and cutting the felt wheel liners for sure!

I went with rocky mtn ats in 275/60/20. Not a setup you'd want as they are a milder tire than the trail grapplers and quite a bit more narrow than the 12.50" you want. I have pics on my thread I posted the other day.
