Just installed Nitto TGs -- 275/55R20

After much research and debate I opted for a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers in 275/55/R20 on my Overland. I've only driven 25-miles on them but so far they are quieter than expected and I love the look. I was on I-95 this am going 80mph with no issues cruising in aero-mode.

I got what I think is a good deal at my local NTB -- $1082 OTD including road hazard, alignment and balance/rotation package. Plus, I put them on an NTB CC so I'll get a $50 pre-paid Visa card in a few weeks. I was originally quoted $1471.99 ($236/tire + road hazard, alignment, TPMS, tax, etc.). After talking with the Assistant Manager I was able to get one tire free along with some other discounts.

The best price I found online was $787.08 shipped using a $30 coupon code at Tirebuyer.com and install at NTB would have been about $125 with tax.

Crappy cell-phone pics are attached from last night, I'm in OR1 mode.

I like it, gives your Jeep a more aggressive stance. I've seen a number of fellow members with curb rash on the 20 inch wheels due to the "lower profile" tire so the Grapplers should help with that.

Glade someone got off the fence. Those look great! I'm still debating to keep my 20" and go with NTGs or Coope Zeons. I don't have QL so still slightly concerned off road with flexing.

Not sure what you mean by this.... perhaps you have me confused with another member.....

Regardless, thanks! I think they look awesome.

For your application, I would add a set of levelers to the front if you go with the 32". I think there a few members who have done this with a 32" equivalent on an 18" rim.

You can always go with the RRO 2.5" lift... then your daily drive will be a bit more harsh since that is the limit of the factory shocks and springs/struts -- hence the reason the QL vehicles have a max speed at each off-road height. I had a 2011 Limited non-QL with the RRO lift and I maintained the factory springs/shocks/struts and the ride was harder than stock, not unbearbale but as you can see I now have QL.

Well you said "after much research and debate" and that's what I've been doing about upsizing, but haven't done it yet.

Thanks for the info, so the tightest spot without the lift is the front without a leveling kit?

ahh, gotcha. I was thinking that with the multitude of tire brand vs. tire brand posts you got me mixed up with another member who had been posting and debating -- its all good.

I strongly considered the Yokohama Geolanders (only 40k warranty), BFG Rugged Trails (not reviewed as highly) and Pirelli Scorpion ATRs (mixed reviews for price) and in the end the Nittos just looked bad ass.

I added a few more crappy cell phone pics from after work today -- this is normal QL mode.

As for the leveler kit… Jeep WK2 Grand*Cherokee Leveling Kit: Level Your WK2 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Also, if you look at the measurements of the wheel wells in stock form you can see the back sits much higher -- check out the photos in my RRO lift install thread: http://www.jeepgarage.org/f156/rocky...all-24264.html

Looks good, I plan on putting the Nitto's or the Cooper Zeon on in the spring. Can't decide yet. I want to powder coat the factory Overland wheels gloss black first and add the wheel spacers I have sitting in the garage for it, to add a little aggressive look.

Powder coat is permanent. I urge you don't powder coat them 1st. Plasti-dip them. Leave for a season. Then determine if the flat black look is something you wnt to keep.

Don't know plasti-dip. Youtube "plasti-dip"

Same boat, deciding on Nittos or Zeons. Does anyone know how the spacer affects the fender clearance. I know it gives you more room on the inside of the wheel well, but wasn't sure about fender clearance, thanks!

Nice.....Can I ask, what did you end up doing as far as a spare tire? ANd does it fit in the tire well?

Thanks!
