aftermarket wheel question
alright so i see a lot of lifted wks and they all look great but not very many of them have aftermarket wheels. most lifted jeeps just keep stock wheels or use the same 3 or 4 wheels. not saying the look isnt good but i want my jeep to be different from all the jeeps using the moabs or the aev pintlers. but the lack of aftermarket wheels gets me to thinking is there problems with running aftermarket wheels on the wk? and most people who keep stockers on a lift with bigger tires usually use some sort of spacer. so correct me if im wrong but if i go with a 17 in wheel with a backspacing of around 5 or maybe 4.75 wouldnt that be the same as running a spacer thats 1.25 to 1.5 inches on a stock rim (that backspacing being 6.25) or am i missing something. i just wanted to double check before i shell out my money on some wheels that didnt fit. just for a reference i was looking at the pro comp series 5035 predator which procomp says the backspacing is 5 inches. please help ill really appreciate any input or suggestions.
