Thought I would give a quick write up of my impressions of the NT421Q.
75,000 mile warranty and H speed rating, looks good and what I could find on them was positive so I went for it.
They balanced out easily and do look good mounted up.
Couple days after I got them we had a foot of snow here in Baltimore and I was on the road at 6am the morning after. Foot of fluff in parking lot and side streets, several inches of heavy slush on main road to highway. Varying conditions once I got to highway. Good grip and predictable through it all. Im an old country boy from Michigan and like driving in the snow, this was deff a solid set up going too fast for conditions.
Thursday checked pressures and set at 40psi, hit the highway and drove back to Michigan. Most driving 80-85 for 587 miles. Once in Michigan it was raining and standing water on edge of highway from all the snow. I hit a patch under an overpass at 80 plus, not fun but tires did their job.
Did some fast driving on the backroads and tires work great. Bwoody springs and WK Bilstiens suck ass though. Not a good setup for rough, back road bombing. I need to get airbgs in the rear, will make a huge diff.
Drove back today on dry roads the entire trip. Average 76.3mph over 579 miles. Couldn't ask for more than these tires did. Keep a close eye on wear pattern and pressure, see how they last over the miles. For now I would give two thumbs up and absolutely recommend considering them if you're in the market.
Re: Nitto NT421Q
good to hear, I ran the 420's for about 7 months until they were stolen, im shopping around again, but I may have made up my mind on general tire g-max as-03's
