http://www.jeepgarage.org/<a href=ht...psd9b1fb63.jpgHello all- I've done some searching on this thread and have not found anyone talking about this. The QL lift suspension can be lowered via the wiTech software. If any of you are interested and want to take the trip to Long Island I can lower your WK and perform a 4 wheel alignment. This essentially does what the adjustable links do but you are not removing or replacing factory parts. It's simply reprogramming the factory air suspension module lower in the normal ride height calibration. The truck will not lift as high as it used to, as it wouldn't with the adjustable links also. For ex- if you lower the vehicle 1 inch in NRH mode ( normal ride height mode ) the max lift setting will also be one inch lower. I reset my calibration today and performed a 4 wheel alignment. It rides great and looks awesome!

Now you can't go too low because it will be on the bump stops. This was just right. Aero mode will lower to a great stance... I just don't have a picture of Aero/Sport.

We will also be tuning the ecodiesels in partnership with Celtic Tuning.. I will have more information on this at a later date.

PM me if you're interested in lowering your QL WK and WK2. I'll also include reprogramming all other models to most current updates at a minimal fee.

To add to this - my MPG has increased a good amount. I will do some more testing on this tomorrow and report back.

Re: Want to lower your air ride / QL ?

This is the first time I've seen anything about lowering via the wiTech software.

Now if you can come up with a way to use the software to set OR1 as the normal height in 'sand mode', you might have me visiting my relatives on Long Island.

Where are you located?

I would be interested in programming the Park Mode ride height be the default for Sport // Aero Mode but NOT lose the ORA-1 and ORA-2 heights because I do take the car off-road occasionally. Can this be done?

Lol. The only way I found it was when my technicians were being trained on the updated wiTech software. I had them use my Jeep and was playing around. Stumbled upon ride height calibration.

The only option would be to increase the normal ride height but I do not know if this would over inflate the air bellows in ORA2

I wish I could set ORA1 as normal in Sand mode. This would hopefully come down the road through a tuner.

I must say - it looks great in park mode. My brother has a 14' hemi with a front level kit. Mine is much lower!

Rides great and not hitting bump stops.

I'll tinker with the wiTech further tomorrow and let you know if there is anything else I can find.

The reason no one has seen this is because the dealer would never perform this for a customer.

We are in Farmingdale, NY. TLC Auto & Truck Center is our shops name.

There is no way around losing your current ORA2 height. However low you would decide to go is exactly how much lower ORA-2 is. I wasn't excited about this either but it's still more than high enough for the beach. :)

Park mode would also be even lower than your current park mode height.

Does this make sense ?

Thank you . It does make sense. It is apparently a limitation of the programming tools. It seems like you can implement a drop across the board of say 1 cm, which affects all 5 ride heights (park, sport, normal, ora1, ora2).

Please keep looking into it, maybe eventually you are able to dial in a new ride height setting in each mode, individually, and tie it into Terrain Select knob. In the alternate, perhaps there is a way to make the Parking Mode ride height permanent such that it could be manually selected even at highway speeds.

Thank you again for your investigative skills.

Can you also see if there is a way of increasing the speed at which the car automatically lowers out of OR2. It sux when your on soft sand and you need the clearance, but also speed to get over something, and it starts lowering.

Can the WiTech software recalibrate the speedo and acc for 32" tires?

Peter_K 03-12-2014 07:13 PM

You can use the wiTech software (Chrysler's scan tool basically) to change the calibrated ride height in normal mode. This is to allow calibration of the system for variances in the ride height sensors, new sensors, etc. But, the things you cannot change are:

1) The ride heights at the different modes. They are set and referenced against the normal ride height calibration.

2) The speed of the mode changes or the speeds allowable in a given mode. These are not diagnostic or calibration routines and are therefore not accessible.

The closest thing that you could get to a 32" would be to program the Jeep to a 295 45 20 which is 31.9". At least its closer. We can't actually enter the entire tire size. There is a drop down with a bunch of options that are available on the WK2 line. from 17"-20"s.

Re: Want to lower your air ride / QL ?

Im up to almost 29mpg. I am softer on the throttle but I was around 24mpg, 25 trying to get it up there prior to lowering the car. Could lowering it really make this much of a difference?

28.7mpg . Cruise set at 65mph on highway. half stop and go, half highway.
