2002 G-C Hard Start
Jeep runs great but some times just turns longer than what it used to before it fires up. 135,000 miles Any Suggestions? JP.

Re: 2002 G-C Hard Start
Welcome to the garage.
Which engine?
Does it only happen with cold engine after a longer time off? When you prime it a few times before starting (so ignition switch off-run-off-run-off- start, with 2 seconds in between more or less), does it make any difference?
Plugs and air filter are ok?

4.0 6 cyl. California weather reg. gas. I'm thinking filter, pressure regulator but thought I'd check before I spent any monies. /;}

Re: 2002 G-C Hard Start
But does the start take longer when engine cold, or is it just random? The external fuel filter/regulator would be a good first step. Cheap part, but can be a pain to change due to dirt on/in the couplings. Use some WD40 or alike on the couplings before trying to remove them.

Pretty much random. I'll change the unit. Thanks' for the input. JP
