Might be throwing in the towel

Just to fill everyone in on my previous problems with this car. Bought the car with 12,000 miles on it. First week of having it I had the car towed due to when I started the car all lights came on and was in limp mode would not shift out of first. They told me it was the transmission control module. Replaced it after a week there. Took it back that night went to turn onto my street the lights came back on and again went to limp mode. Had the car towed again. When I got to the dealership the next day they said they turned on the car and no lights were on. We even test drove it me and the service advisor nothing I didn't understand it. Took the car back that day and was fine. The weekend came along and decided to take the car for a drive. I was only driving 30mph when all of a sudden I hear a loud clunk and saw smoke coming from underneath. Pulled the car over and looked underneath. There was a huge hole on the transfer case. Long story short Chrysler came to look at it as well as my insurance company. Chrysler said they would not cover it which makes no sense this is why we have a warranty. Insurance said it was not my fault and Chrysler should pay. They send a top inspector to look over my vehicle again and idk what happened but not insurance say they would cover it. I had to pay a deductible of 1000. Took a whole process of a month and a half for it to get fixed. Got the car back everything ran fine. Had the car for 2 weeks and parked my car to go to Home Depot. Came back and the car had been hit on the driver side of the front bumper and my light came on for wheel tire pressure. After another 1000 deductible and 2 weeks later the car was fixed. 3 weeks past and i go to start up my car with the remote start started up and I see smoke coming from the engine!!!. Looked under the hood the belt was gone!! In 2 pieces. Had the car towed again and they fixed it under warranty. So after a month of driving with no problems today was the day lol. I was just turning into a street where my work was the traction kicked in but kept slipping there must have been rocks or something to make the wheels spin but regardless I parked the car and had a feeling something was wrong cause it wasn't supposed to do that it should have caught traction not to keep slipping. Turned the car on and traction light came on and the service 4wd light came on. I waited about 10 mins went back started up the car and it went away. Keep in mind that I had the module replaced and a whole new transfer case so I don't understand what is going on . I have put too much money into this thing fixing it and need some of your guys opinion on what should I do cause I've honestly had it. I have not drove it since I'm still at work and I'm just dreading it cause I don't want more problems I only put 1200 miles on it since I bought it. In your guys opinion what would you do. Thanks guys

2 of the accidents are not the jeeps fault. The service lights are....and they were covered. This should be too.

Yea but Scott would could it possibly be this time I understand it's covered but what's gonna happen down the line when my warranty is up. Regardless there shouldn't be any problems after all this

Maybe that's why it was traded in with just 12,000 miles on it. I would make sure its all Fixed and running properly and trade it in. 0.2

Go as high up in Jeep as you can to tell them this story. A quality product and service provider should be atleast concerned about this. If that doesn't work then get out.

I would also suggest that you are not alone. My brand new truck with less that 1000km's is undrivable at the moment. I am trying to stay calm but I am stunned at the amount of issues with these trucks. Again some have had nothing but beautiful driving experiences and I wish that was me but not the case. I am going to the Australian Consumer Laws on mine to get a new one if they do not do something about my issues in the next week or two.

This is not about me so sorry about that but if you have had that many problems as you suggest then go hard at them or get out.

Agree with Scott re the accident.

I had my mechanic look at it before I bought it recovered all the information and services for the car the only thing the car had been brought in for was a noise In the back when bumps went over it. The service advisor who actually sold me the car told me it was traded in for the 2014 srt8. Well update I just got out from the dealership there saying that the car was trying to correct itself. The tires are not supposed to spin like that so it could have caused the computer to act up in that situation and if it was serious the light would have stayed on. If it happens again occasionally then I will have to think about the future with the beast 😔 driving fine now fingers crossed

I had a number of issues with my 14. I escalated the issues up the proper channels, took my time with it and in the end got everything fixed. I also was given an unlimited mile lifetime warranty and two free oil changes ;-).

My problems:
-replaced both front brakes and pads on rear due to excessive wear
- replaced both from struts
- took entire back interior out to find a popping noise / turns out it was a broken spot weld.
- replaced leaking engine oil cooler
- replaced faulty hood latch

Turns out a few other things are wrong and I am taking it in next week. Bottom line if you push enough and talk to the right people they will take care of you. Push for the extended warranty and then you don't have to worry about it.

You should reach out to Chrysler Enhanced Customer Service. That is who took care of me.
Good luck
Zach
