SRT8 red start button

1 Attachment(s)
Anyone know if the red start button from the 14 SRT8 would fit in a 11-13? From the looks of it, they changed the start button from the 13s to the 14s but I'm not sure.

I think it would be a pretty cool little mod to put that red start button in my 2013 limited. Anyone done this?

That would be cool, but as you said it looks different from the 11-13 buttons. Not sure how the red button would look against the wood trim in my overland though.

I did this in my Infiniti G37 - was able to swap the red button from a GT-R. Was a cool little mod.

Awesome, How difficult do you guy think the swap would be? or how should I go about to remove the stock one? I don't wanna damage the wood or stock button.

Also where could we get the OEM button besides the dealer?

Don't the '11 - '13 buttons have a removable cap to accept a key if the fob battery dies?

The '14 doesn't accept a key.

This is the Doge part # 1UL96XR4AA. Looks the same though.
$48 here.. http://moparonlineparts.com/dodge-ch...on-p-4308.html

Yea, the 11-13s have a removable cap and you can put the key in if you take the cap off. I was hoping that you could just buy a new cap that was red but I'm guessing not if the 14s don't have that removable piece. (Since I think the red is only on the 14 srt8 )

That part is interesting though. I wonder if it's interchangeable with the 11-13s. Also if it's just plug and play with the old part or if you have to program the key to it. I also just did the carbon fiber trim (do-noc) wrap in my limited so this would look pretty cool I think.

2011-2013 Jeep is p/n 1FU931X9AC

2014 Jeep is p/n 68197922AA

They are not interchangeable.

If all you want is a res start bottom for your 2011-2013 go to the vendor section and send Nate of rebadge a PM he already has a red button avaliable for sale or he can custom make one for you.

I have a custom decal made for mine and have had it for a year with no issues

Thanks Jeep_addicted. Seems like a good option. Any chance you have a pic of the custom decal he did for you?
