Seriously? UConnect Trial Over?

So I purchased my 2014 JGC last year early.. UConnect was/is a broken piece of crap for the ENTIRE YEAR.

Features missing, never even got to use the functionality from my phone (Pandora, etc).

Now they send me a notice wanting $19.99/mo? What the hell is wrong with them?

I thought they extended this crap since they couldn't get their stuff together?

20 bucks to press unlock and wait 5 minutes for the doors to actually unlock? Naw, I'll go ahead and use my free key-fob and enjoy the luxury of instant unlock.

Re: Seriously? UConnect Trial Over?

UConnect Access !=UConnect, however, your point is probably quite popular sentiment for folks who bought early vehicles with UConnect before the foundation and other stuff became functional.

And if you go to Uconnect® Access | The next generation of connectivity has arrived it looks like to really get much of anything, you'll need to spring for Via Mobile 5 year trial. Wonder how much THAT will cost later..

Re: Seriously? UConnect Trial Over?

My apps have worked fine since they released them in December?
Other Uconnect functionally worked fine as well since I bought it in August.

Is it worth it? Not sure.

If they packaged it like $100.00/yr I might go for it. But seeing a monthly bill is a turn off.

I purchased in Feb of 2013. When I purchased, uConnect Access didn't even work. It didn't work for a few months (even to simply unlock). My UConnect Via Mobile (Pandora and all that) - STILL DOES NOT WORK, even after signing up and following the instructions.

The apps simply do not show up. LOL what a joke.

It won't exist in 5 years. Technology will he moved beyond what it offers.

Some cell phone maker will find a way to channel everything through any vehicle's head unit.

Google will probably have figured out how to just channel it directly to your head by then...

If the 5 year trial is free, I might do it just for grins...

And if enough do it, there will be something else to bitch about.

If you are going to pay for the uConnect Access, you might as well try the free add on.

So once it expires do we need to do anything to maintain the via mobile capability? I do use it sometimes but can live without it.

Nevermind, I logged in and it says that trial is good for another few years.

Re: Seriously? UConnect Trial Over?

I just read we should be getting vehicle health reports as part of our trial. Haven't seen a one.

Monthly Vehicle Health Report
Each month your vehicle sends a full diagnostic report to you. An array of sensors check all your key systems, and anything that is not operating properly will be flagged and brought to your attention.

On-Demand Vehicle Health Report
Before you take a long trip, you can request a full diagnostic report of your vehicle. An array of sensors will check all your key systems, and anything that is not operating properly will be flagged and brought to your attention.

Re: Seriously? UConnect Trial Over?

Try having a blackberry and seeing how even more worthless the uconnect is to own...

And do not do the horn function from the desktop. It will take 5 minutes for it to receive and then you cannot turn it off. M y neighbors were very happy to see me playing with that function.
