Thoughts on wheel color

Okay, here is the dilemma. I am currently running gloss black FR 20's on Blizzacks. I'm afraid the look has ruined going back to the black chrome spider monkeys. The FR look so sick. Now, I would probably just go ahead and run summer tires on the FR except I got 9" width. Now, I'm thinking 22x10 for summer. The question is, what color? I have white exterior and can't decide between doing another black set, this time satin, or going with gray. I'm leaning gray for something different for a few months.

Here she is with 20's

I dig the look of the black wheels. I am in the same boat as you. Bought the 5 spoke wheels for winter and love the look. I don't think you can go wrong with the 22's. IMO I would stick with the gloss black. My only concern is whether or not you would lose some performance with the larger wheels.

No performance will be lost seeing how the 22x10's are lighter and also wider than factory tired. Lighter will help with speed and wider will help with grip!

Alittle side not. Get a move on trying to find these because I think factory reproductions are back ordered on the 22x10's for awhile

But I say gloss black or go with the concavos

OK this is really starting to bother me a bit with people saying the 22" rims are lighter and will somehow improve your performance... I don't buy it in general.

Unless you're spending 5k+ I highly doubt they'll be lighter. Even if perchance they're actually lighter the mass distribution being farther away from the center of rotation will affect your performance as the moment of inertia of the entire wheel will change. More angular momentum will be stored within the wheels at higher speeds due to these mass properties which will affect your performance though how noticeable it is I can't say. If you get good wheels it will be a wash.

Where you'll feel it the most is ride quality as there will simply be less tire around the rim to soak up road imperfections and bumps. Again this difference is probably in the wash and I know many people prefer the stiffer ride on the SRT.

Anyways, have fun with your jeep and configure it how you want to. I like the look of the 22s but then again I absolutely love the 20" factory rims for what they are and since everyone swaps them out my jeep feels unique.

Love those SRT side logos, where did you get them?

its a fact the 22's are lighter and then throw I the fact that the crappy runflats are like two times heavier than most nonrunflats....you get the idea. Just because SRT advertises them as forged doesn't mean they are some lightweight, awesome wheel.

the 22" factory reproductions have been weighed and are lighter than the factory wheels...

This is going to sound ridiculous, but does anyone know what the full description of the stock tire (name, measurements) is that comes with the black chrome spider monkeys? I have the all season, but I can't remember the life of me the actual tire. I'm looking to put them on craigslist and they are in storage, and i'm no where near my invoice sheet. I believe they are Pirelli Scorpion Verdes, but I just want to double check.
