Good OBD II App

I have seen several people talk about using OBD II apps on their Iphones or Android phones. What is the best app to download? Do they work through Blue Tooth?

I have an iPhone. I got the Torque and OBD Fusion - I like Fusion better.

with iPhones you need a Wi-Fi OBD connection, since for most Apps the BlueTooth will not work. Dash Boss allows you to use BlueTooth, costs around $180 for the unit.

Torque and a Bluetooth ODBII adapter will cost 30 bucks or less. You can buy an Android phone with the savings.

The Go Point BT1A is bluetooth and works with BOTH Android and iOS.
$150
The iOS only Bluetooth one is $120.

Dash Command is currently free in the Google Play store.
Not sure if this is permeant now, but it used to be $50 apparently. - https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ce.DashCommand

"NOTE: The free version of DashCommand is evaluation mode only. Full functionality requires an in-app purchase through Google Play."

Ugh. I hate in-app purchases.

Thanks, I am not familiar with the Play store, and this part "Offers in-app purchases" wouldn't expand.

It's sort of a bait and switch. They don't have to say in the Play store what all the in-app purchases are. All they have to say is that in-app purchases are a possibility. My guess is that you download it, install it, and then they spring the "Only $50 to activate DashCommand! Click here!" card on you.

...but then again, I don't know because I didn't download it. I *really* hate in-app purchases. Haha.

I set it to download it to the misses phone, but it's off at the moment. I will check it in the morning (2am here) when we're up and see what it says.

Go Point say the Android app is included when you buy their device.
