275/45/20 front +295/45/20 rear on 14??

can I run this combo on my 2014?? or do all 4 have to be the same ? even if the 45 is the same front + rear ??

275 is too narrow imho. 295 45 should be OK all around.

Staggered setup will look terrible on the WK2.

Why do people insist on NOT running correct tire sizes?

Seriously people, you just can't pick random sizes because they sound correct or you think they would look cool. Not just here, but on all the car forums I have been on, most people just don't understand tires and sizing.

The problem with 275/45 on the front isn't how wide or narrow it is, width is going to have the most effect on turn handling, then acceleration grip. The problem is the tire's diameter is nearly 2.5% SMALLER and the tire width and sidewall are going to be much smaller....looking stupid.

How about a 305/40/21 on the front and a 315/40/21 on the back. That will work right?

only .3" in overall height difference. Shouldn't screw with the AWD? isn't the rule of thumb to be within 3% of the same overall height?

I'm also thinking 305/40/21 in the front and 335/35/21 in the back.

Personally, i think you should go 305/30/23 front and 325/25/23 in the rear.

Of course, then your angular momentum at the apex of your inertia will impose a self induced black vortex of argon gases to accrue at your wheel hub furthest from the gravitational pull of centrifugal force on your axle. This could in turn cause you to enter an uncontrollable flat spin out to sea where you'll need to eject. Or at least that's what Nivas thinks.
