New 14 Grand cherokee LTD

Hey Everyone,
Long time lurker here, Picking up a new 14 limited on Thursday. I had an 04 fully loaded WJ ltd with a Kolak exhaust along with old man emu springs and tons of other goodies pretty much I loved it. Currently adding the WK2 in addition to a 2012 G37XS coupe. After reading all of the negative reviews on Edmunds in the consumer review section I am really confused! are these really that bad after a couple thousand miles? all of the reviews point to glitchy transmissions and Nav/radio issues. I test drove mine for a few hours and loved it! Just looking for personal opinions. Also I am aware of the search button. BTW I will post pictures upon delivery after a personal detail and tint this weekend.:)

Congrats on the new rig! Ignore it all. Assume the positive and have fun with your new JGC. Be sure to post those pics. Forum is a great place to get info as you need it and to give back by sharing the info you have or learn.

Where do you hail from?

Welcome...

Ohio is not too great either. We pay about 4.5% state income tax plus 2.5% local income tax plus 8% sales tax. SUX!

Looks like the WJ I just upgraded from, '02 JGC Limited 4.7HO light silver except not lifted.

Get that Limited and enjoy the heck out of driving it - I know I do! Mine is a very early build (2/13); I've had zero problems with it, just had to get one recall done and a few software updates. Great highway car; very quiet and comfortable yet capable of taking on anything! The negative comments you'll find online are a small percentage of the thousands of '14 GCs that have been built and are being driven - pretty good odds you'll get a great one.

Haha yea NY Gets killed on taxes. I just thought it would be funny to throw out the "Taxachusetts" I look forward to contributing to this forum as much as possible. When I did have the WJ I was active on the Jeeps unlimited forum. I Can't wait to pick her up!

Where I live in Washington state, sales and use tax is 9.8% on vehicle purchases. I think the only advantage is at close to 10% it's easy to calculate.

No income tax though!

Bought mine just before we left SC where the tax is $350 regardless of vehicle price - Nice!

Yes, I hear 'taxachusetts ' frequently as our local TV stations cover the Berkshires and we spend a lot of time out on Cape Ann.
