Front end clunk

Hi all. I have a MY 12 Laredo with quadra-lift. We have 40,000kms on it 2 1/2 years old. We have developed a clunk in the front-end when going over small bumps in the road. It's louder on the LHS than RHS but still present. I have read all about the rear clunk and self levelling shocks, I can't find anything about front end issues. The tech at our dealership said he's never heard of this issue and couldn't diagnose the problem. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Re: Front end clunk

Mine was a couple weeks old when I heard a rattle / clank. Took it to the dealer and it was a loose skidplate. They tightened it up and it went away.

Could be a multitude of items in front suspension that result in a clunk. Mine was a loose swaybar.

Thanks guys. They have replaced one of the sway bars and checked the skid plates.... Seems like the mystery will continue. It's booked in for a full check up next week.

Re: Front end clunk

For those that are interested the clunk was due to a bolt on the front RHS strut that was tight but wasn't seated properly. They undid it - reseated it - re tightened it and presto clunk was gone!
