99 grand cherokee limited

Can anyone tell me where to buy new front diff gears and pinion.Im not sure of the gear ratio either. Its the quadra trac 2. I put new half shafts ,new hubs. Its making a loud humming noise when driven and clicks when i back up and turn the wheels.mind you the shafts have been checked and they are fine.So i was told it was the diff gear and pinon.Any help would be great thanks guys.

I presume that the noise was there before changing any front drivetrain part? Did you already have a look at the ringgear and pinion for wear/damage? Could also be a diff bearing, but even one of the front prop shaft joints or T-case.

Ok replaced prop shaft bearing, still doing it. Making the same clicking noise in the front of my jeep. It's got to be the ring and pinion. So ill be getting that this week and installing. I need a good site reference to show me how to adjust the play. If anyone has a good site that would be very helpful.

I can send you the service manual pages regarding this tonight. Are you sure that the noise isn t coming front a prop shaft joint?

Yea replaced the prop shaft bearing in the back didn't notice the front bearing being bad, just the rear prop shaft bearing

1 Attachment(s)
Did you have a look inside the front diff to see if there is any strange wear or damage to the ring and pinion gear? Did you already remove the front prop shaft and drive to see if the noise changes?
Clicking noises could eventually come from the T-case as well.
When you change the ring and pinion gears, you will also put new bearings in there right. In attachment the adjustment procedure of the ring and pinion.
