They are $33 from J4J and Jeepsareus.com. I have one for my Wk. A bit of a pita to install but well worth it for those single digit nights.

I thought it has to be super cold for those to really help?!

I have one and havent used it once!

nope. It will keep the engine at 95 degrees all night so even at 30 it makes for nice warm easy starts.

I have the factory remote start and I just leave the heat and blower on and start it up, once I leave its nice and warm, of course I live in the south so i don't think I would need a block heater.

Block heaters make it easier on the engine at startup, but aren't really necessary in most climates. When I lived in North Dakota, -20 was the lower limit to when most of our cars would start without having them plugged in.
