130k suspension maintenance
Ive owned my WK for 2 years now (3rd owner) and i just rolled over 130k miles, from what ive been told, it looks as if most suspension/steering etc parts have been replaced at least once with stock parts (pre 70k miles). Since I really dont know what has/hasnt been replaced, I plan to get things done this summer. I really know nothing about suspension/steering components and every other thread seems to just be bickering over brands, so Im asking for your help in WHAT I should have done this summer. I can go through these threads later to figure out what brands are better and cost effective, but Id like an idea of what things need to be done.
I do hear a thud when hitting small bumps or holes in the roads so i know thats suspension. I also have another thread opened about an odd noise that randomly happens when i turn my wheel, i did identify that it is down by the engine, so im guessing ill need to have steering components replaced as well.
Re: 130k suspension maintenance
at 130k your diff bushing is prob shot if you never replaced it. mines been replaced and at 128k ill be replacing the following- shocks, springs(just upgrading to XK coils), spring isolators, swaybar links.
calling it a day after that, i dont wheel it and just daily drive it so my UCAs/LCAs should be alright. maybe check your alignment out?
