Cleaning 20" wheels

I have the optional OEM 20" rims on my 2014 limited. I have some dirt on one of the wheels which refuses to come off. I tried with goo gone and it started to come off, but not everywhere and I'm not sure how safe goo gone is for the wheels.
Any suggestions on cleaners that are safe for these wheels and yet tough on the grime?

What type of grime is it? Baked on dust or dirt? I wouldn't use goo gone....they will probably need polished, try a cleaner wax or dedicated polish or possibly a clay bar. I don't think a wheel cleaner is going to do too much, but I would probably opt for Meguiars Wheel Brightener that's pretty serious stuff but be careful with it. Sonax is the best all around cleaner though, IMO. I'd try polishing them first.

I went off roading and popped my tire. We used the tire sealant that's in the can to try to close up the cut, but the hose had a hole and it sprayed all over the wheel. So it's that gunk mixed with dirt.

Maybe try some WD-40. I used this to remove road tar from my wheels and the gunk from the tire sealant may be sticky like tar. Worth a shot at least, good luck to you.
